This sturgeon was adopted by Ron Coombs, for fellow Fraser River Sturgeon Series, Hosted by Rick Hansen team member, Valerie Samson. Valerie's sturgeon was unique because it was so large, but without a tail or pectoral fins. It is unknown why these parts of the fish were missing, but to survive that long, and grow to that length, required a great deal of determination.
