This mature, white sturgeon was adopted by Leslie and Barry Wilson to commemorate Larry Wilson's 60th Birthday.  A sturgeon this size would be approximately 60 years' old - same as Larry!

This fish would have seen many changes in the river and ecosystem over the past 60 years - increased industry, changes to habitat and increased numbers of recreational fishing enthusiasts  and our volunteers looking to meet it!  We are grateful to our volunteers for meeting this fish and including its data in our research.  Our research indicates increased numbers of these mature fish and they are our hope for creating the next generation of fish!
